Here are some ways to keep yourself motivated.

It can be difficult to keep us motivated to keep moving forward toward our goals.  Regardless of how exciting our game plan is and how excited we are at the start of our journey, the day will come when we will face fatigue and loss of emotion and the way forward.

You can always give your friends and everyone around you a dose of inspiration.  But how do you motivate yourself?  And how do you maintain this enthusiasm until success finally comes to you?

Persuasion surrounds us - whatever we do!  Here are some ideas to help you unlock and use it.

1. Your goals should really move you forward!

The beginning is the end: If you are really excited about a goal, it will attract you like a magnet and keep you in motion.  Your journey and every step on the way depends on your destination.

If you set a goal that doesn't fit you perfectly, it's a lost cause before you start.  So choose the goals that you are passionate about, the ones that kindle your inner fire because they are deeply connected to you, to your values, and to what you see as the goal of your life.

2. Goal low (first)

Your ultimate goal can be glorious.  Even it has to be glorious to be inspiring.  If you haven’t practiced in six months, you don’t have to hit the gym all of a sudden every day.  It will work for a week but you will get sick, your body will tell you to stop, you will get injured.  Build slowly, start targeting twice a week, then increase to a month or three, and more.

Achieving goals is satisfactory.  Don’t keep the bar too high (challenging too little at first), pass it, cut the positive feedback to witness your success, and switch gears - all at once.

 3. Start somewhere, somewhere - but get started!

You have the ultimate goal - great.  You have a reasonable goal to achieve - even better.  Yet planning is not everything: you need to start working now as soon as possible! The secret to keeping yourself motivated is to use your inspiration!  It will send a strong signal to itself and create a clever circle of motivation and activity.  Make it flow.

4.  Make it social

Don't be alone.  Stay with like-minded people, experienced people who are already where you want to be, or brides who are where you are now a year or so ago, or who will challenge you to give you the best of friends.  Share your experiences, your doubts, collect tips, give back and drink.  Virtual or real, social communities are an immense source of inspiration and mutual empowerment.

5.  Work harder

The harder you work, the harder it is for you to give up.  The deeper and deeper you go with your goal the more committed you will be to it.

So if you are only partially pushing towards your goal, work harder!  Engage yourself, invest your energy - there will be a lot more to lose behind you soon.

6. Track your progress

Getting instant feedback about our performance is the underlying motivator.  So make sure you keep track of your progress.  Keep a log of your activities, check frequently how you are actually doing against your goals.  Our Platform Goalmap can be especially useful for tracking goals and progress in every area of your life.

By regularly monitoring your personal activities and analyzing the results such as exercise frequency, your monthly savings level or the number of books you read you will gain more self-awareness which is the key to a successful goal journey.  Therefore, face your current self.  Watch your current performance.  And challenge yourself to do better.
